Scooter and Graner: "Fall Guys"

Now that the Scooter Libby has been proven to be a not-very-credible perjurer and so, understandably is the stand-in for the whole Adminsitration's virtually unanimous crew of pathological liars, the juntas' apologists (like Fred Hiatt and Charles Krauthammer) are, true to form, staging a veritable Liars' Olympics of spin. One thing they are seizing upon like snapping turtles is the jurors' (rather Stockholm-syndromed) notion that Libby was somehow a "fall guy" -- who, in the propagandists' chutzpah-view thus deserves to be pardoned.
Scooter Libby was not a fall guy; he was a hatchet man. He was just the fool mean enough to relish the dirty work, and his picknose chickenshit superiors were happy to let him do it. Repeat after me: Scooter is to treason as Graner is to torture. There, isn't that simple.
