Conservative : GOP :: tiger : Detroit
The new meme, courtesy Geoge SWill and his fellow asslickers, is that Republicans lost on Tuesday because they forgot to be "conservative." But they didn't forget; they were "conservative" like kamikazes are committed. Only now they want to pretend that "Conservative" still means to them what it meant to Webster (instead of a warmongering, profiteering, bigotted, theocratic busybody). Their claim, about forgetting conservatism, is precisely like saying Detroit lost the Series because they were insufficiently feline.
In other news, proud to say that my family contributed something like 5% of Landslide Joe Courtney's margin of victory in CT-2. Excellent work, loved ones!
